TANZANIA, and Malawi have signed a bilateral agreement aimed at simplifying cross-border trade procedures for small-scale traders operating along the two countries’ borders. The agreement, signed on February 16, 2026, in Dar es Salaam, is expected to reduce bureaucracy and speed up border clearance processes for traders dealing in goods valued at up to 2,000 US dollars.
